Xavier Jambon
Xavier Jambon was born in Bègles, close to Bordeaux/France, in 1970. He truly discovered his passion for painting at the age of 12, while flipping through a book on 'Watteau' at his parents’ house. He pursued brilliant studies in Fine Arts at the University of Bordeaux, which he describes as a magical place. Through this academic education, he immersed himself in painting, sculpture, and engraving.
After his four years of studying, he decided to dedicate his life to serving the schools of fine arts by teaching an artistic form that has unfortunately been forgotten—one practiced by our great masters (Michelangelo, Balthus, Hopper...). Since then, Xavier Jambon has continually explored various subjects and techniques, offering scenes of life that he observes attentively. Regardless of the subject, emotions and reactions are always present. Xavier challenges us, inviting us to observe and feel. Whether it’s scenes of fights, parties, assaults, or beach settings, his gaze remains sharp, unsettling, and captivating.
